Dear Valued Customer,

As part of our continuous effort to enhance customer experience, we are upgrading our Domain Name System (DNS) infrastructure for our broadband services. The upgrade will involve decommissioning our previous DNS address (202.188.1.5) in stages starting from September 2015 to March 2016.

If you are using the 202.188.1.5 DNS, you may not be able to access your Internet services and will need to update your DNS manually. To do this, please follow the guidelines below:


For Streamyx and UniFi Subscribers
Please set your DNS at your router/modem/RG and any related device to auto-assign

For TM subscribers other than Streamyx and UniFi
Please set your DNS to: Primary: 1.9.1.9 Secondary: 202.188.0.133

Changing the DNS in TCP/IP setup


Windows
1. Click Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> View network status and tasks or Network and Sharing Center, click on change adapter settings.
2. Select the connection, right click it & select properties.
3. Select the Internet Protocol Version 4 and double click it
4. Set Obtain IP address and DNS server address automatically and click OK to save the setting.

MacOS
1. Choose Apple menu -> System Preferences, then click Network.
2. Select the network connection service from the list, and then click Advanced.
3. Click TCP/IP, and then use the Configure IPv4 pop-up menu to make the adjustments.
4. Configure IPv4 using DHCP, enter the DHCP Client ID.

MODEM
Changing the DNS in Modem/Router

1. Access the router/modem landing page - 192.168.0.1 (UniFi) & 192.168.1.1 (Streamyx).
2. Click the internet setup/advance setting/setup.
3. Search for DNS server setting, set as Auto & save the setting.
